Safety
Sharing your story should never put you at risk. Here is how to stay in control.

Choose who sees each testimony
Every testimony has a visibility setting. Public can be seen by anyone, including search engines. Friends only is visible to you and the members you have accepted as friends — enforced by our database, not just hidden on screen.
Protect identifying details
- Consider leaving out your exact address, workplace or children's names.
- If you are escaping abuse, use a display name that cannot be traced to you.
- Remember that anything public can be screenshotted and shared elsewhere.
Blocking
Blocking a member removes them from your feed and stops them interacting with you. You can block from any profile page and manage your blocks in Settings.
Reporting
Use the report button on any testimony or comment. Reports go to a moderation queue where content can be hidden or removed and accounts suspended.
Watch for scams
Genuine members will not message you asking for money, gift cards or crypto, and will not pressure you into a private chat off the site. Report anyone who does.
If you are in crisis
This site is not a crisis service and moderators cannot respond immediately. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number now. In Australia, call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
